Theatrical Makeup

Theatrical makeup is not the same as facepaint. Due to theatre lights and makeup needing to be sweat proof, artists use cream or grease paints to get the looks they require, the prosthetics may not be blended into the skin as looks are seen from far and allow for quick costume changes. 

The looks tend to be more over the top in expression and colours for the actors can be seen from afar.
